    Does the POT settings described apply to the Printrbot Plus also? Or just the Simple?

    Slide 5 has an error, the order of the commands are not as noted.  M909 is for display and M910 is for saving.  Please update the slide!!

    @Riley, the proper POT settings for the Plus: X:50.00(1760) Y:50.00(1760) Z:60.00(2112) E:60.00(2112)

    Could someone please confirm the proper POT settings are for a Simple Metal with a rev F6 Printrboard?

    According to the slideshow on this page, the correct setting is:

    M907 X70 Y70 Z60 E60

    I ask because the "full directory of Printrbot settings" linked previously by PB Support Team is unclear.

    Thanks all!

    Hi Andy/all, I apologize for the confusion.  To clarify, this guide can be used by anyone wishing to adjust their POT settings.  However, it is particularly relevant to some later kit builders who received medium/small-sized motors.  Most Rev F Printrboard users have bots with medium and/or large motors.  So, the standard POT settings are: X:50.00(1760) Y:50.00(1760) Z:60.00(2112) E:60.00(2112)

    If you have a Simple 1403 with medium/small motors or you have some other reason that you think that you might need to adjust your motor POTs, this slideshow gives direction on how to do so.

    I apologize if the M501 directory is unclear.  I took a moment to make sure that it does call out medium/small motor users.   I also added a quick note to the top of this article in hopes that it will give more clarification to future readers.  Thanks everyone.

    Dave,

    Thank you very much for your response! If I could ask a quick follow-up question:

    I have a Printrbot Simple Metal (non kit, no heated bed) that I purchased in Jan 2015.  It originally had a Rev D Printrboard.

    I just had that board fail, so I ordered a new Rev F6 board.  Will I need to adjust the POT settings on that board?  Alternatively, how do I tell if I have a Printrbot will small/medium motors?

    Thanks!

    Hi Andy, you should not need to adjust the motor POTS for F6.  Once way to compare your motors to small/medium is to check out slide 3 of the Simple Kit Build Guide.  If your bot is old enough that you have a Rev D board, I am almost positive that you have standard large motors.  We didn't go with small/medium until the latter half of 2016.  Hope that is helpful.

    These settings worked for me on my Simple Metal 1403 with my new Printrboard rev F6... My motors were shaking badly before applying these settings.

    Note to adjust the limits for the extended bed I had to enter M211 X{x width mm} Y{y width mm} Z{z width mm}

    Does this guide apply to the G2 board as well?

    I just replaced my old F6 mini USB with a new F6 Big USB and now my motors seem to be very jerky or for a better word, too much torque.  Can you please tell me if my Play can be adjusted and if so, could you give me some direction.
