Removing Solid Filament from the Gear Head Extruder

Step 1: Remove the shroud from the Y-arm by removing the 3 button head screws.

Step 2: Remove extruder base (bottom) M3 socket head screw with an 2.5 allen wrench.

Step 3: Disconnect the hot end thermistor cable and power cable.

Step 4: Remove the M3 socket head screw from the extruder arm and remove extruder arm.

Step 5: Loosen the M3 Socket head screw on the bottom left of the extruder base.

Step 6: At this point, you should be able to either push the excess filament through with a 1.5mm allen wrench or you can try plugging in you hot end heating it up by using the load filament button on the touch screen and pulling the filament out.
